How do Crystals work?

The use of crystals for healing have a long documented history and have been present in practically every culture and religious tradition. Almost every ancient civilization utilized healing crystals and their meanings in some way, shape or form.

The healing uses of crystals are documented as far back as 1500 B.C. in the Ebers Papyrus from Egypt. The Ancient Egyptians used stones primarily for protection and health and the Ancient Greeks crushed hematite and rubbed it upon soldier’s bodies prior to entering battle with the idea that it made them invincible. The use of crystals is popular in both Hinduism and Buddhism and even St. Valentine was said to wear an amethyst ring.

Keep in mind that they are not magic: they are not going to make your secret crush fall in love with you or change your hair color from brown to blond and they are not going to stop you from catching a cold. They work by connecting your own energies and working with your body. They gently work on restoring the balance on all three levels – physical, emotional/mental, as well as spiritual.

Our entire bodily system is nothing more than energy that shows up in various patterns and densities. Our thoughts and feelings are connected to our physical bodies and have a density of their own. We are all built pretty much the same. Diversity has its place, and we are all individuals, yet nature created patterns that work the same in all of us. Crystals radiate pure patterns and resonate with unmatched consistency. They sing their incredible songs of structure, balance, wavelength and frequency and can bring us back into harmony. They are living creatures and are active participants in nature.

Our minds are our most powerful tool for directing the path we would like our lives to take. Whatever you choose to put your energy into, will flourish and grow.

If you are still having a hard time wrapping your head around the idea of how the crystals are working, rest assured that even if you don’t fully understand how or why, the crystals you wear or hold will still work hard for you.
